Trumpeter Chad McCullough began a fruitful collaboration with Belgian pianist Bram W. in 2009 while both were attending the acclaimed Banff Jazz Workshop. Fourteen years later, with a half dozen quartet and duo recordings behind them, this ambitious duo will assemble a cast of exceptional regional players for a live recording–right here in our fair city.

Michael Brenneis is a drummer, composer, and improvisor based in Madison, Wisconsin. A volunteer blogger for BlueStem Jazz, he wants everyone to know that he’s a musician, not a journalist.
